Vanilla Bean Syrup

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 vanilla bean split
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Split vanilla bean and scrape the seeds.
  • Add water, sugar, seeds, and pod to a saucepan.
  • Simmer 5–7 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract + salt.
  • Cool and bottle.

Notes

Use real vanilla beans for best flavor. Leave pod in bottle for stronger infusion.
